Skin work at West-Med is doctor-led. That matters most for mole checks: our advanced full-body mole mapping uses AI-assisted total body dermoscopy, which is a screening tool a clinician interprets, not a verdict a machine hands down.
The treatment programmes — melasma, pigmentation, acne, rosacea, psoriasis — run over months with review appointments built in, because skin does not respond to a single visit.
Who you will see
Skin consultations at West-Med are with GPs who have a special interest in dermatology and a postgraduate diploma in it.
We are clear about what that means. Our doctors are not specialist dermatologists. We have direct referral pathways with specialist dermatologists and a second-opinion service for high-risk cases, so a specialist reviews your skin when it needs one. Most cases are diagnosed and treated here on site, and if you are already on a specialist's waiting list, we can treat your condition while you wait.
