No. Dr Esther Scott is a GP with a special interest in dermatology, with a Diploma in Dermatology from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. When a case needs a specialist dermatologist, she refers you directly or arranges a specialist second opinion.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book a dermatology appointment directly by phone, WhatsApp or the enquiry form below. If another doctor has already seen your skin, bring their notes or results to your first visit.
How quickly can I be seen?
Usually within 7 working days, and at times up to 4 weeks when the waiting list is long. We do not offer same-day dermatology appointments, so call as soon as you notice a problem.
Do you accept my medical aid?
We accept most major medical schemes, but some plans have restrictions. The medical aid checker lets you pick your scheme and plan and see straight away, or reception can check for you.
Can you treat me while I am on a specialist waiting list?
Yes. Many skin conditions, and some skin cancers, can be treated here while you wait for your specialist appointment. If you still need to see the specialist, we send our findings ahead so your appointment starts where we left off.
Do you see children?
Yes. We see children and teenagers for skin problems such as eczema, acne, warts and moles that need checking. A parent or guardian needs to come with a child to the appointment.
